There are two eclipses in August. They are the first on the Aquarius–Leo axis since 2008, which makes them a preview of the next 18 months. In this video Rachel Lang explores the significance of the astrological patterns in the charts.
The solar eclipse on August 12 fell at 20°02′ Leo — with a path of totality crossing Greenland, Iceland, and northern Spain. Two weeks later, on the night of August 27–28, the Full Moon in Pisces enters a lunar eclipse. The eclipse is at 4°54′. It is opposite the Sun and Mercury in Virgo, and forms a one-degree T-square with Uranus in Gemini. That one asks you to let go of something you’ve been holding on to.
In this video, Rachel Lang breaks down both eclipses. The Sabian symbols and the mystic rectangle are explained in the solar eclipse chart. Thor’s Hammer is noted in the lunar eclipse, while the Saros 126 lineage extends to 1179, and Jupiter’s reactivation dates.
“I recorded this at the beginning of August, and there has been a lot of upheaval among astrologers since then. I don’t reference that here because I didn’t have time to edit something together and wanted to get this up for the eclipse.”
