I am proud to be Australian and love my country. I am grateful to live in this wonderful country that I have the privilege of calling home.
I love this land and its people, and I have deep gratitude for the society we share and the laws that guide us.
I write about living from and embracing your authentic truth, and I run retreats to help people find their own.
So now I am walking my talk, and I am sharing this song with you today, born out of my journaling and reflections on what is happening in our community and what is shown relentlessly across television, radio, and the media.
This song represents my point of view, and I hope it will resonate with others who feel the same. I felt I needed to say something, and I hope these words reach far and wide. I know some will have a different perspective and may not agree with mine, and that is part of the beauty of living in a society where we have the freedom to speak and live our truth. I respect the right of others to speak from their hearts and voice their opinions, and I hope those who listen will respect mine. Thank you with gratitude and sincerity.

And sometimes life feels unfair
But take a moment to think about
Why do some
want you to talk that up
What changes
Do they really want to make
One can bet
that it is not going to make
your life easier
Are they really speaking
on your behalf?
No more immigration
is a catch phrase
Is it really the problem?
You can buy the story
But those
Who would reshape the story
They are seeking a less free society
That is built on hate and prejudice
Take care with the power of your vote
You have a voice
Don’t let others take that from you

We live in the Big Wide World and
as long as we trade
and are a part of that world
We will be affected by that world
as we share resources and services
You have a great life
living here in Australia
You have choices ~ You are supported.
This is a generous society
Look around the world
where there is violence daily on the streets
where gangs rule, and there is no law
Is that the alternative you are looking for?
We are so fortunate
You can travel freely
You do not fear for your life
when you walk out your door
Multiculturalism has worked.
