Reclaim Your Self Worth

Have you felt an overwhelming urge lately to step back and re-evaluate your life? You might find that it’s because your needs are not being met. Perhaps you are the “giver” in your family. The one everyone turns to, and now you’re ready for others to give something back. Often, we give our power away without even realising it. Have you given others the power to make choices about your life? For many women, this begins with a simple question: When did I stop listening to myself? We begin to question the roles we play, the expectations we carry, and the choices we make.

Have you become caught up in caring for others, meeting expectations, and trying to get everything done?

You can lose touch with your own needs, dreams, and inner wisdom. Many of us find ourselves saying yes when we mean no, putting everyone else first, or wondering why something feels missing even when life seems to be going well.

Reclaiming your self-worth begins when you take time for yourself. Pause and reflect on what is working in your life and what you are ready to stop putting up with. Listen to that inner voice inviting you to find your ground right where you are standing.

This is where the journey inward begins. Not by trying to fix ourselves or become someone different, but by pausing long enough to become curious about who we are beneath the roles and responsibilities we carry.

Our sense of worth is an important part of this journey. We can spend years measuring ourselves by what we do, how much we give, or how well we meet other people’s expectations. Yet we don’t need to earn our worth. It is already within us.

When we take time to listen, reflect and reconnect with our inner being, we begin to recognise the patterns and stories that have shaped our lives. We can start to see ourselves with fresh eyes, acknowledge our strengths, and make choices that feel more aligned with who we truly are. I recently co-hosted a day retreat for women with Debbie Paull, and this theme became a central focus of our time together. As the day unfolded, the women spoke with growing clarity about what they wanted for themselves. There was a shared readiness to reclaim their personal power, rather than allow themselves to be manipulated by others, whether in personal relationships or in the workplace.

Perhaps this is part of the shift so many people are experiencing right now. We are being invited to slow down, question what we have always believed, and find our ground differently.

Reclaim Your Self-Worth

When you finally unplug and look inward, you stop asking, “Am I doing enough?” and start asking, “Am I honouring myself?”

True self-worth isn’t something you earn or a goal you cross off a to-do list. It is a foundational truth you remember when you finally sit still. By turning your attention inward, even for just a few minutes a day, you begin to anchor yourself. You find your ground right where you are standing, realising that the most important relationship you will ever tend to is the one you have with yourself.

Sometimes, the most important step forward is to stop, take a breath, and come home to ourselves.
