REVIEW of There is a Field by Peter Haddow Maestro on the MIke 3MDR community radio
“There are a few artists I play each week on my 3MDR radio program, Maestro On The Mic. Kavisha Mazzella has been a regular play for more years than I have fingers and toes. There Is A Field is her latest album, and it does not disappoint. It’s spiritual and relaxing and your troubles seem to be less. There are tracks in Sanskrit, Arabic and Aramaic, but mostly in English, but you would not know. Everything transitions smoothly, and the variety in songs, instruments used, and melody carries you someplace else. It is an uplifting album and takes you away from pressures, helping you cope. There are no synthesisers, just real guitars (and other instruments). We enter the world of Kavisha with Abwoon D’Bashmaya as track one and gradually build to The Field, which for me is the highlight track. But she leaves you with one more to finish the ten-track album. It goes so quickly, yet there is no sense of the madness of rush. It’s a spiritual album without bringing you into a religion or sense of judgment about anything or anyone. This is a great album from the Mistress of Song. Listen to it and feel the shift in your sense of being” – Peter Haddow (The Maestro) Maestro On The Mic 3mdr.com.
