An Incredible Story of Friendship and Fight for Justice
“Inside Out” is a memoir chronicling Kathleen Folbigg and Tracy Chapman’s friendship, and their 20-year effort to overturn Folbigg’s wrongful conviction for the deaths of her four children.  Tracy Chapman’s unwavering belief and trust in her friend is the cornerstone of this story.
The book recounts how Folbigg was convicted in 2003 for the deaths of her four infant children, a conviction that was later revealed to be wrongful. Throughout Folbigg’s twenty years in prison, Chapman remained steadfast in her belief in her friend’s innocence, tirelessly campaigning for her release and advocating for new evidence to be considered.
In 2023, after a significant campaign for justice, Folbigg was pardoned and her convictions were overturned.
