The First Ever Heart Coherence Club for Teens’ Well-Being

High school can feel like a whirlwind of deadlines, social pressures, and constant change — but the Heart Coherence Club helps turn that chaos into calm.

This spring, The Woodlands College Park High School in Texas became the birthplace of a potentially exciting movement in student well-being thanks to the vision and leadership of student Sai Balaji. Sai set out to spark a culture of inspiration — encouraging students to become the best versions of themselves while lifting up those around them.

Every week after school, about 20 students step into a different world after the final bell, gathering for 45 to 60 minutes of hands-on exploration with HeartMath’s Inner Balance devices and coherence-building techniques. This isn’t just another after-school club; it’s a science-backed sanctuary where students learn to sync their heart, brain, and emotions for real results.

Sai and her team hope to publish their research findings, offering a roadmap for other schools to follow. Their ultimate mission is to develop practical strategies and protocols that help students everywhere tap into the power of heart coherence and unlock more of their potential, one heartbeat at a time. Click to view video.

Using Inner Balance™ devices to track heart-rhythm patterns and coherence scores, the club is currently in its early stages of data collection. As they grow more skilled with the technology, the club plans to analyze this real-time data to spotlight the wide-ranging benefits of heart coherence.
